How to use IMGBurn Software

If you are using IMGBurn then you might need to record something onto a disc. This might sound complicated if you have never used burning software before, but it is fairly straightforward. When you use IMGBurn there are several things that you can be certain off.

For most people the most important part is the fact the it is completely free. There is no need to pay for burning software such as Nero when you download IMGBurn. Secondly, you are not only able to record several media with ease, CD’s, DVD’s and BlueRay, but you can also burn personal documents, photographs and video files to discs.

The icons on the software make the process of burning files to a disc fairly self-explanatory, you will be able to see disc to disc images and files to disc images on the screen. Depending on the type of file you are wishing to record will depend on which icon you click on.

If you want to burn an image then you can either open the ImgBurn, and in the launch wizard click on the “write image file to disk” tab. Browse the files and select the image(s) you wish to write to the DVD. Put your rewritable DVD into the disc drive and then simply click the burning icon which starts the process. Alternatively you can simply right click on the file you want to burn, and in the drop down menu choose to open it using the burning software.

If you want to burn folders and files to the disc, you can click on the image for files to disc and this will automatically open a new window. From there you can choose all the files and folders that you want to write to the disc. There is a calculator at the side which adds up the size of all files chosen so you know when you are reaching storage capacity limit. When you insert the rewritable disc this automatically starts the “Burn DVD” process.
