Best Disk burning software for Windows

There are so many disc burning apps and software that are compatible with Windows Operating System that it is hard to choose which one would be the best to use. Many people choose their software depending on price, the free ones likely to be the most popular.

Which ones are good?

One that regular tops the list of popular software is CDBurnerXP. It has so many great features, and is really simple to use, so even those who have never tried to burn files or discs to a rewritable disc before will find it straightforward.

One plus point that is immediately noticeable is the price. CDBurnerXP is completely free to download and use. When you consider that Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 costs around $40.00, you are saving yourself some decent money by using the free version.

The features of CDBurnerXP are really good too. In fact it is so easy to use (a drag and drop feature makes it almost impossible to make a mistake) you can be burning discs and files with ease in no time at all. A great feature is the cover printing option, so when you create a disc you can design a unique cover for it or print an image you have found online.

The downside to CDBurnerXP is that it can’t burn every type of file (such as AVI), but this seems to be the only negative aspect of the software. That said, a lot of the free to use burning software have the same issue.

The two closest competition to the CDBurnerXP are the already mentioned Ashampoo, which also offers a free version as well as the paid option. It doesn’t offer as many features as CDBurnerXP though. IMGBurn is packed with features, many more than CDBurnerXP; however it isn’t as easy to use.

Honourable Mention: DVDFlick can burn AVI files to DVD which can then be watched on a DVD player.
